Products from different price lists and departments can be gathered together in multiple ways, e.g. by catalogues, stocktake sections, product types or even manufacturer.  One of the reasons for doing this is for reporting purposes.


Each store uses different ‘groupings’ therefore Toniq recommends you to ‘have a think’ about which collection is appropriate for your store.

Gathering products to put in a collection: (the following instructions will use pricelist as the originating selection but use your own selection as needed).


From the Retail Main Menu, go to:

  • 2 Stock control, 3 Stock maintenance, 1 Maintain products in bulk
  • Press F3 A[dd]
  • Start typing one of the pricelists in question in the On price list field, press Enter, and select
  • Select F9 [Incl Hidden]
  • Press F12 [Accept Details] to generate the list
  • Press F2 [Edit List], then A [Add more items in bulk]
  • Start typing the other pricelist in question in the On price list field, press Enter, and select the pricelist. 
  • Select F9 [Incl Hidden]
  • Press F12 [Accept Details] to generate the list

Review the list to make sure only relevant products are selected. If some products need to be removed from the generated list: 

  • Press F2 [Edit List], then E [Edit list Item by item]
  • Highlight the product, and press F10 [Remove Item]. Do this for each unwanted item 
  • When finished reviewing the list, press F12 [Accept Details]


To manually add extra products to the list generated above: 

  • Press F2 [Edit List], then E [Edit list Item by item]
  • Start typing the product name in the Choose product field, press Enter, and select your extra product. Do this for each extra item.


Finally, to create the collection:

  • Press F5 [Set P1 Opts] and select the collection type that will be used to gather products together. For example:
    • Press 3 [Product type], select your collection, and press F12 [Accept Details], OR 
    • If your collection doesn’t exist, type a relevant name, press Enter, then F3 [Add], and then F12 [Accept Details] twice
  • Press F12 [Accept Details] again and select Yes to the prompt Do you want these products to be change

Important: Follow the same process outlined above when new products are added to pricelists etc that you want added to your collection.

You will now be able run reports using this collection.
