Kick-start the year by reviewing your current Stock value for high cost areas & finding any dead stock you might have.


Stock Value Report:

When to run:  End of each month or After Stocktaking.


From the main menu: 6. Reports, 1. Product Reports, 4 Stock Value


You may already have a premade report or F3 [Add] and setup as below:

 - Name: All Stock Value Report            

 - Subtotal: tick Dept or Group

 - Tick: Totals only, Include hidden       

 - F12 [Accept Details], F12 [Print]


The important column here is ‘Current Value’ as it reports on what you ‘actually’ paid for the items, not the ‘suppliers’ normal pricelist cost.


Dead Stock Report:

When to run:  Every 6-12 months


From the main menu: 6. Reports, 1. Product Reports, 4. Stock Value


You may already have a premade report or F3 [Add] and setup as below:

- Name: Dead Stock                            

- F8 Dead stock: 550 (enter)

- Ranking: Top stock value                   

F12 Accept Details, F12 Print


This is a list of all stock that has not moved for 1 ½ years.  Now might be a great time to mark down some of these items and create a specials bin to get rid of the stock.
